| Kathua protests against construction of overhead tank | | | Early Times Report
Kathua Mar 18: The residents of Partap Nagar ward no. 17 Kathua held a protest demonstration against the district administration and PHE department for constructing the overhead water tank with sub-standard material due to which the leakage of water has been occurred.
The protesting people Satya Bhushan, Tawla, Sushma Sharma, Tara Chand, Kanta and Ajay also demanded the vigilance inquiry in the whole construction of the water overhead tank through which the water has not been stored effectively and is going to be leaked and the water is being wasted. They alleged the PHE department for not checking the leakage of overhead through the using of substandard construction material for which the people have huge resentment. They blamed the state govt for encouraging the corrupt practice for which the leakage of the over head tank is an example of the corrupt practice.
If this big over head tank gets failed there would be a major finical and human loss. They said that if the appropriate action would not be taken against the executing agency then the people would be forced to come on the street in protest. |
