OBC's demand 27 percent reservation | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 18 : In the executive meet of the union which was held under the chairmanship of Abdul Majid Malik, President of the Union took whole of the stock of the out come o the co-ordination committee meet. The members arrived at the conclusion that the Co-ordination Committee has avoided the agenda of "Enhancement of Reservation to the State OBC's" who have been given only 2% reservation instead of 27% as per Apex Court's Judgment of 1992 on Mandal Report. Participants stressed over this OBC's demand and reminded Prof. Saif-ud-Din Soz who is also the chairman of this committee to take up the matter in the next co-ordination meet which is going to be held within 15-20 days. Besides, a deputation of AIBCU met with the Joint Commissioner of Jammu Municipality who's also the incharge of State Economical Caste based causes for cooperating and directing their enumerates for feeding the exact caste of the family head but he showed his helplessness which is a matter of great regression. The speakers have appealed the State OBCs to give correct information of their castes like; Yogi; Lobana; Jhewer; Tarkhaan, Lohar; Chopan; Najar; Anhanger etc. instead of their sub-castes like Verms, Mehra; Choudhry; Dogra; Qureshi etc. as per their revenue record. So all the OBCs Castes identified as per Mandal Report must insist the caste based census party to make entry of their castes instead of sub-castes and this information should be passed on to the other OBC Castes. Participants also condemned the attitude of the fundamentalists for giving sentimental statements to disturb the common people of their political interest due to which there always remains violence in the country, particularly in J&K State. State rulers should have a falcon eye over such miscreants to control the situation well before hand. Others who were present in the meeting were Puran Chardgotra Chief Co-ordinator, Abdul Quadir Dhobi Pub. Secretary, Shambu Nath District President, Mouj Sharan Samyal, Sudershan Kumar, Darshan Lal, Karan Tagotra, Deep Malia, Sushil Kumar, Sushil Pandey and Ramesh Thakedar. |
