| No official arrest in mysterious death of actress Suman Rathore | | Family accuse police of inaction | | Asif Iqbal Naik
Kishtwar, March 18: The Kishtwar police have not effected any arrest even after three days of alleged murder of 22 year-old actress Suman Rathore. The aggrieved family members suspect truck between the police and the accused.
Meanwhile Monica Rathore, Sister of deceased said that her sister was 3-4 month pregnant and demanded registration of double murder case against the accused Kuljeet Kumar and his family members.
She said that Kuljeet Kumar had made clear that her sister will be allowed to carry on with the job even after marriage.
Monica said that Suman's In Laws behaved like Talibaan who restrict woman to for walls of the house. "We have only listened about Talibanisation, but have never seen, now we have experienced it. My sister has passed through hell for eight months in her In-Laws house", she said.
She said that only few days ago her sister gets confirmation from the doctor that she was a pregnant. She said that she was happy to be a mother and contradicted the claims of her In Laws that she (Suman) had committed a suicide.
"No woman who expects a baby could ever commit suicide, how could she?" questioned Suman.
Monica and her mother found the dead body of Suman in bad condition. "The body was lying on the ground and a dupatta was hanging from the ceiling fan," she said.
Suman, said Monica had been complaining of ill treatment at the hands of In-Laws.
"On the fateful days she had fought with her husband. He murdered her and later threw her body inside the room. He shouted that Suman had committed suicide", she said.
Monica suspects foul play by the police. "It is evident by their conduct. Even after three days nobody has been taken into custody", she said.
Born in the middle class family of Lakhmi Chand Rathore in Kishtwar District, 22 year old Suman Rathore after returning from Mumbai got married to Kuljeet Kumar Parihar some 8 months ago on the instance of her parents. Suman was able to get an opportunity to find a role of "Girija" in a bollywood movie "Ziyarat" directed by Suresh Goswami. The role of Suman Rathore was acknowledged by one and all as a result of which the film got several international awards including award for this spring season of the New Los Angeles International Film Festival 2011 in the category of Experimental Films and Fame walk International Film festival award 2011 in the category of Narrative Feature Film. The Film has been officially selected for screening at International Forum of New Films, Calcutta Nov. 2011 in the category of Docudrama Films, beside has been officially selected for screening at the 12th Dhaka International film festival 12 - 20 Jan 2012 in the category of Spiritual documentary Film.
Ziyarat, a JSWM Production has been nominated for the Gollapudi Srinivas Memorial Foundation Chennai Best Debut Director Ward March 2012. The 110 minute Film is a well made film. It touches the chords of painful emotions very well under which Kashmir is undergoing since last so many years. The DVD's of film is already hit the markets in India after being released in an international feast in Los Angeles. |
