| VOJ presented challan against ASI in a 'bribery case' | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 19: Vigilance Organziation Jammu today presented challan against Assistant Sub-Inspector Nayeem Hussain Shah who was caught red-handed by the VOJ on August 20 last year while demanding and accepting Rs 3000 from the complainant Mohammad Yunus of Kanara Chak, Nowshera.
According to challan a written complaint lodged by Mohd Yunus that his uncle namely Gh Hussan has registered a case in P/S Nowhsera against him and his brother regarding land dispute. The case was investigated by the Assistant Sub-Inspector Nayeem Hussain Shah. In the complaint it has been submitted the said ASI demanded and accepted Rs 4000/- as illegal gratification from the complainant and further started harassing the complainant and threatened him to attend police station on daily basis and demanded more from the complainant. On this complaint a trap team was constituted and laid a trap and today after completion of investigation presented challan in the Court of Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu. --(JNF) |
