Govt merely focuses on pvt sector players: Pvt School Representatives | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 19: A meeting of the "Jammu Pvt Schools & ETT institutes Association (Progressive) was held yesterday i.e. on Sunday at Jammu under the Chairmanship of its President Deep Singh in order to discuss the repeated notices of Directorate School Education, Jammu while referring some humiliating clauses of Govt. SRO-123 of 2010. Association termed the attitude of state government and its authorities as quite surprising and demoralizing when instead of needed improvement based display chart of its own schools; complete focus is being made towards the private sector. While justifying the meaningful monitoring of the government, Association repeated its old stand i.e. ignoring the prevailing existence and importance of private sector; any irrelevant exercise over the proposed SROs of the government will be impracticable and of course participation of private sector need to be ensured before any such exercise. Association further has appealed to the Chief Minister for an overall review of existing defunct education policy of the state including the working of state Board of school education in order to achieve the meaningful literacy target of the state while considering the role of private sector if any. Others who attended the meeting were Dr. GS Charak, Kuldeep K Rao, Gurtaj Singh, JS Chib, Anil Saraf and Pankaj Sangral. |
