Early Times Report
Jammu Mar 19 : Taking a strong exception of anti-India and pro-Pak slogans renting the air in Police Line Kathua, the BJP and the Bar Association Jammu (BAJ) have condemned the incident and urged the authorities to take action in this regard.
In a press statement issued today, BJP National Executive Member & State Chief Spokesperson Dr Jitendra Singh has said that the NC-Congress coalition government owes an explanation not only to the people of this state but to the whole Indian nation as to whether anti-India pro-Pak slogans by police cops are not a violation of the service code of conduct.
Dr Singh suggested that the state government should review its policy of recruiting former stone-pelters in police services without proper verification or else this could end up as a serious security risk. He said it is a consequence of long rope given by the UPA government to NC led government that it is flouting all norms of constitutional and democratic propriety to appease the Kashmir separatist elements in order to ensure its continuance in power by scoring a point over rival Kashmir-centric political parties and groups. He said that instead of taking action against anti-India elements in state services, the state government is inclined to grant them undue favours and succumb to their blackmail.
He said in the recent years, the Kashmir-centric government in J&K has crossed all limits of restrain and added that at any other time in any other state, by now the state government would have made itself liable for dismissal.
Meanwhile Bar Association Jammu in its emergency meeting held under the Presidentship of B.S.Slathia, urged the administration in general and the Director General of Police in particular to take strong notice of such incidents and immediately book Police recruits with anti-National mindset. Slathia and others expressing dismay over the issue said if anti-national sentiments are allowed to be perpetrated in the disciplined belt-forces in the State then how can the dignity of National Flag and protection of the National interests can be safeguarded at the hands of such elements. They underlined such anti-national expressions by anybody are not acceptable at any cost and requested the Director General of Police and those concerned in the administration to immediately book the culprits for their prosecution and conviction under Law. The anti-national elements in the Police Training School Kathua, he stated, cannot be allowed to go scot-free.
