Prof Soz concerned over windstorm damages

srinagar, Mar 20: State Congress President Prof Saifuddin Soz has expressed over the loss of life and property due to the windstorm in Kashmir Valley.
In a statement from New Delhi, Soz said, "I feel extremely sorry for the stormy winds that damaged roof tops, electric poles etc in many parts of the Srinagar city and elsewhere last night. Unfortunately many people have suffered hardships. On getting in touch with state administration, I was told that the concerned departments have got active to reach the families, who have suffered damages due to storm."
"My hope is that the department electric, Local Bodies, especially the Municipal Corporation Srinagar will get active and mitigate sufferings of the people and restore basic amenities like electricity and drinking water," he added.
Prof Soz said that he has requested Revenue Minister Raman Bhalla to visit Srinagar immediately.
