| Storm disturbs life in Doda; MLA Doda for rescue & relief operations | | |

JAMMU, Mar 20: Abdul Majid Wani MLA Doda expressing serious concern over losses caused due to strong winds storm in Doda district.
In a press statement the MLA Wani stated that whole district was affected by strong dust storm, which started at around 2 pm in afternoon hours and loss of property has been reported from Labbar, Thandiyana, Sarrak, Marmat, Kastigarh, Bhalla and Bhaderwah causing human injuries also.
MLA Doda has asked Deputy Commissioner Doda to, immediately, press in rescue teams to the affected areas and also to collect completion information about losses caused to public as well as civilian property due to the squall. "Special teams of doctors should be kept ready for deputing them to affected areas. The government machinery should be activated especially in the remote and farthest areas, he added.
MLA Doda, further, made an appeal to people of Doda district to remain inside their houses and contact local administration/ government agencies, immediately, in case of any loss caused due to nature's fury. |
