| Tarigami demands assessment of losses due to wind storm | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 20: General Secretary CPI (M) and MLA Kulgam, M Y Tarigami has expressed his concerned over the damage caused to property due to devastating wind storm which has occurred during the intervening night of March 19 and 20. Reportedly, the wind storm caused heavy losses to the properties which include houses, shops, walls, orchards and other assets in the Valley as per initial reports.
Tarigami has enjoined upon the Government to gear up the field functionaries particularly revenue authorities to survey the affected areas of the Valley especially far-flung areas to assess the losses so that ex-gratia relief is provided to the affected people.He appealed the people to take all precautions as per the Metrological Forecasting to prevent any damage to the life and property. He said the damage to the property can be made good but lost to the precious human life can't be compensated. |
