Issue joining orders to selected teachers: Kranti Dal | | | Early Times Report Jammu Mar 20: expressing concerns over the poor health of the education sector, Kranti Dal today demanded early issuance of the joining order t the selected candidates who have been selected through SSRB in 2010. The Kranti Dal leaders demanded this after visiting different Govt schools of district Rajouri that are facing acute shortage of teaching staff. According to a press statement the Kranti Dal team led by its General Secretary Pritam Sharma and Youth working President Jagdish Sudan alleged that SSRB for slow process of teacher recruitment which adversely effecting the functioning of Govt schools. "State cabinet has referred 5000 posts for education department in August 2010. SSRB took three months for advertisement, interview and after six months and lists of selected teachers of only 13 districts have been release after taking nine months of long period, the statement said further stating till date, there is no sign of joining of these selected teachers.Kranti Dal leaders said that as per available data, in Rajouri district, there are lying 600 posts of teachers vacant while condition of other districts is not good. 550 in poonch,1200 in Jammu,900 in Kathua,450 in udhampur,400 in Samba,350 in Doda,220 in Kishtwar and 200 each in Reasi and Ramban districts lying vacant. "State Govt should also take action against private schools who are selling books, uniform and charging high admission fee, they added.
