| CRPF officer commits suicide | | |
Jammu, Jan 23
Few days ahead of Republic Day, a Sub Inspector of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) committed suicide by shooting himself with his service weapon at heavily guarded Maulana Azad Memorial Stadium in the heart of Jammu city, this afternoon.
It was reliably learnt that the Sub Inspector Babu Lal posted with 68 Bn of CRPF shoot himself with his service revolver at MA Stadium around 3 PM, today. He was rushed to GMC Hospital Jammu, where he was declared brought dead, sources told News Agency of Kashmir.
The deceased inspector was posted at MA Stadium, where Republic Day prade, would be held on January 26. He was a resident of Haryana state.
The cause of suicide could not be ascertained as the officials were tight lipped over the incident. It was the third suicide by a CRPF jawan in Jammu and Kashmir in the last one month. |
