| Training on 'capacity building of farmers' held | | | Early Times Report
Jammu Mar 20: A three day Training Programme on capacity building of farmers of Command Area Development Jammu being organized by the Indian Network on Participatory Irrigation Management (PIM) New Delhi. The programme sponsored by the Minister of Water Recourses Govt of India was participated by attleast 30 farmers from R.S Pura Marh Bishnah who were trained on various aspects of Command Areas Development such as Water User Associations and Adaptive Trails etc. "A team of experts from the Department and University delivered practical lecturers on Management of Command Areas and Crop Productivity. One day field visit has also been kept in schedule for the participating farmers, spokesperson said in a statement. The programme was inaugurated by Director Command Areas Development Jammu Madam Nirmal Sharma IAS along with team of Officers A.K Malhotra Chief Agriculature Officers.
