| AIDS awareness camps organised | | | JAMMU, Mar 20: An AIDS awareness camp was organised by Public Welfare Organisation in different areas of Bishnah. The villages where the programme held include Chak Murar, Batyari, Dindey Khurd, Drabbar, Chak Avtara, Deoli, Kanhal, Chak Bana etc.
The programme was held under the supervision of Sarpanch of the village. The residents of the villages were made aware about the deadly diseases. P P Sharma spoke on the topic "HIV/AIDS as Resource Person. President of the society, Soni Pandita also spoke on the occasion and presented the vote of thanks.
A similar programme was also organised by 3T's Social Society and Library in different areas of zone Bhalwal.
Programme Coordinator, Dwarka Nath Hangloo was the Resource Person who spoke on the topic "HIV/AIDS.
Shilpa, Usha and Rakesh Kumar also spoke on the occasion. Sarpanch, Narinder Singh demanded conduct of free eye camp in the village Gharota.
Indu Chopra presented the vote of thanks. |
