Sixty bovine rescued, five held

Jammu, Mar 20: Jajjar Kotli police foiled a bovine smuggling bid here today, police said adding that a case in this regard stands registered. SDPO Nagrota Faisal Qureshi said that during naka checking police intercepted five trucks and during checking police recovered sixty bovine animals being smuggled to Srinagar. He said that the drivers of the vehicles were arrested on spot and have been identified as Sharif son of Mohd Yaqoob of Tanda, Fanny son of Gani Mohd of Phallian Mandal,Ishtaq Ahmed son of Mohd Azaz of Bathindi,Abishek Hus-sain of Anantnag and Raiz Ahmed of Poonch.
A case under section 188/RPC 3 PC act has been registered against them.
