| +2 Contractual Forum highlights issues of Contractual Lecturers | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Mar 20: 10+2 Contractual Lecturers Forum today staged protest outside the Press Club Jammu in respond to "Kam Choro Hartal " called by the forum to highlight their long pending demands.
Provincial president Anil Kumar while speaking on the important issue of non-regularization of the contractual lecturers, asked the state government to issue selection list of contractual lecturers. He further said that on 8 December, 2011 the then Education Minister directed to GAD to collect details about contractual lecturers and make their selection list who completed their seven years in their service. Dr Surinder Shastri, General Secretary, criticized that state governments policy towards contractual lecturers. Surinder Pal Singh, Vice president Jammu demanded enhancement of salary as present salary is too low to run a family. He also said that government should be given 12 months salary to contractual lecturers on the pattern of JE.s, Agricultural technocrats and doctor's. He also said that pending money should be given to contractual lecturers. Rajni Jamwal, Provincial secretary and Suresh Kumar Sudan provincial Joint Secretary said pending alters of the contractual lecturers should be granted on the lines of 6th pay commission from January 2006. They said state government became deaf and dumb as nothing is came concrete from government infavour of contractual lecturers, Contractual lecturers are suffering a lot under the rule of state government. |
