PHE employees protest against government's callous approach

Kathua, Mar 20: Hundreds of PHE employees under the banner of PHE Employees Association District Kathua assembled at PHE complex Kathua and held a protest demonstration under the leadership of Kuldeep Raj against the PHE Department which has miserably failed in conceding the just and genuine long pending demands of the employees viz. release of pending wages of C.P worker's for the last ten months, all the dues of ITI Elect/Plumber be cleared till date from last fifteen months, enhanced wages at the rate of Rs. 125/per day be given to all the daily rated workers as well as C.P workers, pending list of non- authentic CP workers those were engaged up to Nov.2005 be released as daily wagers, all the daily wagers and need based workers be regularized under S.R.O 64 who have completed un interrupted seven year service, the D.P.C be framed and vacant post of department be filled up as per seniority, transfer of class fourth field employees be returned to their respective Sub-Division after completion of 2 and half year. While speaking on the occasion president in charged PHE authorities for having failed to deliver wages to all sort of daily rated workers from last ten months and it is exploitation of labourers .
He said that it would not be tolerated. He warned PHE authorities if the wages of daily rated workers will not be released before 31 March, the association will be forced to continue strike and authorities concerned would be responsible for the dire consequences. Others who addressed were Harbans Lal, Darshan Singh, Prem Lal, Vijay Kumar, Yash Pal, Jindi, Hardev Singh, Manohar Lal, Balbir Singh, Akbar Ali, Daulat Singh, Pritam Singh, Lal Singh, Sushil Kumar Ashok Kumar Ajay Kumar and Manoj Kumar.
