Darkness engulfed in many parts of city due to overnight high speed winds

JAMMU, Mar 20: Though Jammu escaped the devastation of the dust storm which had created havoc in Kashmir valley, but winds damaged power infrastructure in various parts of city, plunging many areas in darkness.
As of late Monday, some areas were without electricity in Jammu province. Mostly due to trees that came down on power lines and some also damage due to this. The weather experts clear today is cloudy day and tomorrow is normal in Jammu city. They also said some mountains areas will should be rains in the Jammu and adjoin areas.
On Monday evening there was sudden change in the weather with high speed winds blowing in the city. In the adjoining areas of people were faced problem due to bad weather or airstreams. Wind lashed most of the district bringing down the temperature.
Source said that most of the parts of rural areas and for flungs people were faced problem due to this. The mid night light have cut and some areas without light till now.
In most parts of the city, the people were seen enjoying the sudden change of weather outside their homes or in nearby parks, who otherwise forced them to remain indoor because of burning sun.
According to the senior Agro-Meteorologist, SKUAST-Jammu, Dr. M.K Khushu, the weather is expected to remain cloudy for next 24 hours. Day before of scorching sun it is good for the people, but tomorrow sun is rise like before. He also mentions they hope rain will fell in the mountains areas. But Jammu city is clear tomorrow.
