AJKLTA discusses problem of education sector | | | EARLY TIMES REPROT JAMMU, Mar 21: All Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Feder-ation (AJKLTA) today hig-hlighted the measures to raise the standard of education and the problems faced by the both teachers and the students in the Jammu and Kashmir state. While addressing a press conference state president of the federation Bhushan. S.Verma said that the transfer policy in the state is the main cause of poor standard of education in the government schools as there is no transparent policy in education department. The officers are making transfers using words "In the interest of administration" under political, beurocratic and monetary pressure and the teachers on the other hand are busy in knocking the doors of the politicians/ beurocrats for their transfers. That is why the strength of the teachers of all the cadres is mort than the strength of the students in urban areas where as schools in rural far flung area is under staff and the federation demands a concrete and transparent policy in the interest of students. “The federation also demands selection grade to under graduate teachers and they shall be placed in the grade 9300-34800 +4220 grade pay because this grade has not been awarded to these teachers since 2005 and the file regarding this demand endorsed by the DSEJ is in civil secretariat for approval of their DPC in aforesaid grade”. Those who were present at the occasion included Mohan Singh, Prem Sharma, Ravinder Verma, Kuldeep Singh and Bachan Lal besides other. |
