Visual disable advocate expresses gratitude to CM | | | early times report JAMMU, Mar 21: Advocate Suraj Singh hailing from a remote Village Thall of Tehsil Billawar who is the first Advocate from Jammu Province having 100% visual disability has expressed deep gratitude to the Chief Minister of the State Omar Abdullah for showing benevolence and compassion by sanctioning Financial Assistance out of his discretionary funds for enabling Advocate Suraj Singh to purchase equipments for reading law books and preparation of briefs/cases. Advocate Suraj Singh also compli-mented the efforts of the Advocate General of J&K State M.L. Qadri who took personal pains and pleaded the cause of visually disabled Advocate before the Chief Minister of the State. Prominent lawyers of Jammu Bar including President Bar Association Jammu B.S. Salathia, S.A. Salaria (senior advocate), D.C. Raina (senior advocate), U.K. Jalali (senior Advocate), S.S. Lehar (Senior Advocate), A.V. Gupta (Senior Advocate), R.S. Thakur (Senior Advocate), M.K. Bhardwaj (Senior Advocate), Sunil Sethi (Senior Advocate), Surinder Kour (Senior Advocate), A.K. Sawhney, K.L. Pandita, Abhinav Sharma and Sheikh Shakeel Ahmed have also hailed the State Chief Minister in sanctioning financial assistance to Advocate Suraj Singh who has recently been enrolled as an Advocate by the State Bar Council and is practicing in Jammu wing of the State High Court. V K Kapoor Former Director, Law School, Jammu University presently Director/Principal Dogra Law College" Jammu has also welcomed the act of the Chief Minister in encouraging Suraj Singh Advocate. The Young Advocate has appealed to the Chief Minister to show the same benevolence to other similarly situated disabled persons so that they can overcome their disabilities and can lead their life with dignity and honour. |
