'Ateet Ke Sakshi' marks day 4 of drama festival | | | early times report JAMMU, Mar 21: Whenever plays are staged on Kashmiri diaspora nostalgia begins to haunt those conversant with valley of 90's. But fortunately, things have taken a better turn and life is back to normal. Amidst this the diaspora realises the need of going back to where it belongs. This is what was portrayed and projected by young Rohit Bhat in his play 'Ateet Ke Sakshi'. The young team of Unison Cultural Troupe put everything in producing a very poignant tale in a very delicate manner. Written by Rakesh Bhat, 'Ateet Ke Sakshi' will be remembered for its meaningful theme. The nostalgia of an aging father for his homeland, the trappings of modern day life that have engulfed his young son and the attendant issues is what 'Ateet Ke Sakshi' was all about. Memorable performances by Sunny Mujoo, Arvin Tickoo, Jatinder Jotshi, and Kamal Handoo made it a success. Sponsored by J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages the play was staged as part of annual drama festival 2012; being coordinated by Academy's senior drama instructor, Dr. Sudhir Mahajan. |
