Lecture on "Too much and Too Little Water" organised | | | early times report JAMMU, Mar 21: On the eve of World Water Day, Global Green Peace & Environmental Protection GGPEP, a NGO in collaboration with the Vigyan Parasyar, Department of Science & Technology New Delhi, Organized a Lecture on "To Much and Too Little Water" at the village Samka at Indo-Pak Border of Suchetgarh Constituency of Tehsil R S Pura, Jammu. Headmaster of Government Middle School Gouper Basti, Pawan Dev Singh Chib was the chief Guest at the function. While speaking Pawan Dev Singh Chib said that millions of years ago life evolved in water. Three quarters of our planet is covered with water. Water is used, in homes, agriculture, industries, for generating electricity and Numerous other purposes. The quality of water on the earth today is same water that has been there since the planet formed. Water constantly moves and changes, form, but the total amount of water on the earth does neither increase nor decrease. So we should use it very carefully. According to Davidner Choudhary President of GGPEP, that distribution of water on the earth is 97.2% in oceans, 02.% in ice-caps, 00.62% in ground water, 00.009% in fresh water lakes, 0.008% in land seas and salt lakes,, 00.001% atmosphere, 00.0001% rivers i.e. 99.8381% is total water. |
