6th Science Camp under INSPIRE concludes at JU | | | early times report JAMMU, Mar 21: The 5-day long 6th Science Camp under Innovation in Science Pursuits for Inspired Research (INSPIRE) Program of Department of Science and Technology ( DST) (Govt of India) today concluded at Brig.Rajinder Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu. The Camp was organized by Department of Science and Technology, Govt of India in collaboration with PG Department of Geology University of Jammu. Prof MP Singh Ishar Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu who was the chief guest on the concluding function lauded the efforts of the Department of Geology University of Jammu for the successful organisation of innovative Science Camp. Prof Ishar while addressing the participating students said that science is the way of life and they should enjoy the science. Prof Ishar also said that main aim to organize such type of camps is to create enthusiasm, quest and to attract the young minds more towards Science to do innovative things in life. Prof Ishar further added that the camp will really act as a booster for students to know more about the latest inventions by scientists in various fields of Science and Technology. Earlier Prof M. A. Malik Rector Bhaderwah Campus, University of Jammu and Co-ordinator 6th Science Camp in his welcome address gave the detail profile of the 5-day long science camp. Prominent who visited said camp Prof RNK Bamazia Vice Chancellor SMVD University, Prof A K Bakshi Vice Chancellor, Rajshree University Allahbad, Prof Ramesh PRL Ahmadabad, Prof Kanchan Pande, Director School Education, Jammu, Gulzar Ahmad Quareshi and Dean Academic Affair, University of Jammu. Dr Pankaj Srivastava, Associate Professor Department of Geology presented the formal vote of thanks and Dr Varun Powar Assistant Professor Department of Geology. |
