Addressing development aspirations priority of govt.: Dy CM | | | Early Times Report JAMMU , Mar 21 : Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Tara Chand said addressing development aspirations of people is priority of the government and all out efforts have been initiated to reach out to those living in far off belts of the state. He said with positive support and liberal funding from the Central Government major projects have been undertaken to meet the infras-tructural requirements of the State. Tara Chand was holding a workers meeting cum public rally today in which Sarpanchs, Panchs, prominent citizens, senior officers of various departments and large number of people participated. Reiterating resolution of the government to develop rural and far flung areas on modern lines, Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand said coalition government is keen to provide all basic amenities to the people living in far-flung and far-off areas at par with those living in Urban areas adding that various development projects have been launched in rural areas in this regard. He said work on the road map to development is apace and no delay would be tolerated in scompletion of projects. On the occasion, the Sar-panchs, Panchs apprised the Deputy Chief Minister about their grievances and demands of their respective areas which mainly include, un-interrupted power supply, safe drinking water, road connectivity, up gradation of schools, benefits under various state and centrally sponsored government schemes, assurance for adequate water availability for irrigation purpose in coming summer season, etc. Responding to their demands, the Deputy Chief Minister assured that all their genuine demands would be redressed in a stipulated time frame. |
