Major gold market in Kathua at Vijay market remained closed and gold smiths protested against the budgetary proposals of the union govt. The Akhil Bhartya Swaran Kar sang held protest at Vijay market. The Advisor of Akhil Bhartya Swaran Karsang Kathua Des Raj Sharma said that for the past several years the gold prices went up and it has affected the gold trade as common people can't afford it now.
