| NYC holds protest in support of their demands | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Mar 22: National Youth Corps (NYC) Volunteers organized a peaceful Dharna at Press Club, Jammu in support of their demands about regularization. NYC volunteers condemned the cane charge against NYC volunteers in Srinagar.
The dharna was held under the leadership of Gaurav Bazala, Jagdeep Singh, Vikrant Singh, Hakumat Singh and other activists who addressed the protest rally.
While speaking representative also urged the State Govt. as well as Central Govt. to regularize their jobs and enhanced their salaries. Volunteers demanded that the State Govt. especially Secretary Technical Training to release their honorarium as soon as possible, because volunteers are suffering a lot in performing their duties especially in census purpose.
While addressing to the media volunteers representatives also criticize the State Govt. that volunteers of Kashmir Division also had a peaceful rally but the doctorial policy of State Govt. towards the NYC Volunteers.
They however condemned the cane charged on NYC Volunteers at Srinagar which leads to the injuries to a large number of NYC's and dozens of volunteers were arrested during the peaceful protest.
NYC Volunteers of J&K State warned the Govt. that if the State Govt. will not fulfill our genuine demands within one week, otherwise they will launch a state level massive protest against the State Govt. |
