Jammu, Jan 23 The electricity tariff of border migrants of Jammu would be waived off for the period of their displacement, this was stated today by Minister for Power Nawang Rigzin Jora, while replying to a supplementary raised by Congress MLA Yogesh Sawhney. Earlier, in reply to main question by Dr. Manohar Lal, the Minister told the House that additional power cut of 4 to 6 hours has been enforced in addition to approved power curtailment schedule for 7 to 8 hours a day in Billawar tehsil and its adjoining areas due to overloading problem of 10 MVA, 66/33 KV, receiving station, Hiranagar and 6 MVA, 66/33 KV, receiving station. He said at present there is no proposal of establishing separate division of (M&RE) at Billawar. The electrification of all the Mohras of Salair, Gardu of Aglidhar village, Nakki, Simbli, Khembli, Kaljari, Chialla of Rajwatta village. ST, Busti, Bouha, Lahire of Boura village. Bhavanu, Showasa, Trappar, Badoo of Uchapind village and Choic, Koppar, Lehire,Kouli of Koppar villages has been proposed to be covered under RGGVY scheme. The scheme has been sanctioned by Ministry of Power, Government of India at an estimated cost of Rs 32.30 crore. The executing agency is NHPC which is in the process of preparation of NIT. Mr. Aslam Khan, Mr. Abdul Rehman Veeri, Mr. Yashpaul Kundal, Mr. Yogesh Sawhney, Mr. Abdul Rahim Rather and Mr. Nazir Gurezi raised supplementaries to the question.
