Jammu, Mar 22: Blaming red - tapism prevailing in the ruling coalition Govt of J&K State, the aggrieved stated that it has virtually jeopardized the process of operationlizing the dysfunctional units of the industry in state apparently in Collaboration with the Corporate Houses and the management pulling strings from behind. In a press statement workers that the delayed attempt of management of SIL (Singer India Ltd) resorting to reupening of the unit at Bari Brahmana Jammu after a gap of almost 7 years is pending with the J&K Government for clearance of a small issue which seems to be the bad intensions of both the management in collusion with the J&K Government officials. "The closure of the plant earlier has been stubbornly resisted by the workers under the united plat form of Federation of Unions of Industrial Workers, the added. Press statement said that management of SIL approached the BIFR (Board of Industrial Financial Reconstruction) in 2005 with contention to declarethe unit as sick industry for getting relieves and other concessions from State Govt and other related institutions. Consequently management was left with no any other corner except to settle the matter with workers for restart of factory at Jammu. FUIW has reiterates that if the State Govt. goes a head with its anti workers stance in respect of workers of SIL and continue its in-different attitudes towards making the atmosphere congenial to the restart of SIL and shows unnecessary ado, the workers of Industrial Sector will have to come on the roads and mobilize the people by exposing the anti-common man policies of the State Govt. and to fight against any type of repression from Govt and management of SIL. |
