| 2 smugglers held with 180 wooden logs | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 22: Two timber smugglers were today apprehended by police in Doda after cops recovered 180 wooden logs from their residences.
Acting on a tip-off, a police party led by Doda SP Arif Rishu raided the residences of the accused at Ganaie Pura in Doda and seized the timber logs, police sources said.
The accused were identified as Shabir Ahmed, son of Gaffar Lone, and Mohammad Ramzan, son of Ahad Ganaie of Ganaie Pura, Dhara. The accused were booked under sections 379 and 109 of RPC and section 6 of Forest Act. |
