NC's slanderous tirade against Beig | | | Munish Gupta Jammu, Mar 22: The National Conference today lost its cool and launched a `slanderous' tirade against former Deputy Chief Minister, Muzaffar Husain Beig. A spokesman of NC said Beig suffers from `psychological disorder'. Beig had hit hard at NC founder Sher-e-Kashmir though with a `heavy heart' yesterday while addressing a press conference in the summer capital. He had accused Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah of having a truck with enemies of India. He also accused him of creating a wedge between Kashmir and Jammu. Beig had also made a special mention of `money received by Sher-e-Kashmir from Pakistan. NC's tirade has been taken by political circles with a pinch of salt. "A party having monopolized Jammu Kashmir politics for more than eight decades should not stoop down so low. This is highly unparliamentarily", they said. The tirade evoked a critical comment from a noted academician. "It is reminiscent of a street quarrel where a lady goes to her roof top to curse her neighbor", he said. "The National Conference should have come out with facts and figures to Beig wrong. They way they have reacted has only maligned their organization", he said. Pertinent to mention Beig is counted among ten most efficient lawyers of the country. He is also known for his drafting and oratory skills. |
