Nasir lauds JKP for polishing youth’s talent
J&K Police Martyrs T20 Cricket Cup concludes

JAMMU, Mar 23: The 2nd J&K Police Martyrs T20 Cricket Cup (Men) was won by Simula -XI and Women’s T20 Cricket cup was won by Queen’s Blue this evening at M.A stadium Jammu.
The Tournament was organized by J&K Police under Civic Action Programme in which 12 teams of 2nd J&K Police Martyrs T20 Cricket Cup (Men) from different districts participated and in Women’s T20 cricket cup three teams participated. The Tournament was started 14 March, 2012 and concludes today while as Women’s T20 tournament started on 21 March and also concludes today.
Minister Of State for Home Mr Nasir Aslam Wani was the chief guest , Director of General of Police Mr Kuldip Khoda was the Guest of Honor on the occasion.
Speaking on the Occasion, Mr Nasir said that the youth of the state have enormous potential and government has taken every step to provide them a platform to nourish their hidden potential in a better way. He said that the youth of the J&K has ample opportunities in different adventures activities like tracking, water rafting and other supports activities. He said the collation Government is committed to provide adequate infrastructure in adventure tourism and sports to channelize their potential..
Hailing the efforts of the Police organization, the Minister said the objective of organizing such tournaments, CHOONA Hay ASMAN under civic action programme is to strengthen the bonds between people and police. He said that youth of the state are participating in such programmes enthusiastically and adding that it will further helps to bring the police organization close to people of the state.
Earlier the Minister presented the Winner’s Trophy to SIMULA XI and Queen’s Blue and distributed the Man of the Match and Man of the Tournament awards among the players of two teams.
DGP, Mr Kuldiep Khoda while speaking on the occasion said that the players who show excellent performance during the tournament would be provided national level coaching. He said the winners of different categories in CHOONA Hay ASMAN programme would get entry in ZTv. He also announced in future that the Women’s T20 Cricket Tournament would be organized in big way in the state.
