| J&K Bank installs fresh currency/ note exchange counter at Vaishno Devi | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Mar 23: On the eve of Navratras, J&K Bank through its Business Unit Vaishno Devi Bhawan, has installed fresh cash currency/note exchange counter to facilitate the Shree Mata Vaishno Devi devotees with fresh currency notes.
The counter was inaugurated by Navin Kumar Chaudhary Chief Executive Officer Shree Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board in presence of Dr. M. K. Bhandari (IAS) Additional Chief Executive Officer of Shree MataVaishno Devi Shrine Board and Pawan Kumar Sharma( SDM), Shree Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board. J&K Bank Cluster Head, P.P. Gupta welcomed the dignitaries onthe occasion and presented a Memento to the Chief Guest and other Guests. While speaking on the occasion Navin Kumar Chaudhary, (IAS) CEO, SMVDSB lauded the relentless efforts of the bank particularly in the state ofJammu and Kashmir for the upliftment of the weaker section, trade and industry.
He said, "The bank is the biggest industry of the state in absorption ofhighest number of unemployed local youths."
He also conveyed his thanks to the bank management and RBI forfacilitating the devotees of Mata Vaishno Devi by providing here a special counter for issuance of fresh currency and exchange of notes on the eve of Navratras.
P.P. Gupta Cluster Head conveyed his thanks to the CEO, Addl.CEOand SDM and other dignitaries of the SMVDSB on behalf of the authorities of thebank for gracing the occasion by their esteemed presence and always extendingtheir undaunted support to the bank in conduction of such programs on differentoccasions.
On the occasion, a small but impressive function was also arrangedby Ravi Sharma, the Branch Head, Vaishno Devi Bhawan Branch. The function wasattended by officials of the SMVDSB ,Police,Local Shopkeepers and large numberof devotees from different corners of the country. |
