Rich floral tributes paid to Shaheed Bhagat Singh & Others

JAMMU/KATHUA/DODA, Mar 23: Several political and nonpolitical parties and NGOs today organised functions across Jammu province to mark the 81stMartyrdom Day of the three national heroes, S Bhagat Singh, Rajguru andSukhdev.
On the occasion of 81st martydom day of Shaheed BhagatSingh, Sukhdev Singh and Raj Guru, Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM) organizeda function at party head office to pay homage to freedom fighters who laid downtheir lives in the struggle for India'sindependence from British rule.
BJP State President Shamsher Singh Manhas, while payingtributes, said that the Yuva Morcha in Jammu and Kashmir must seek inspiration from Shaheed Bhagat Singh and his colleagues to uphold the values of nationalism.
He said that thehistory is a witness to the fact that the youth has always played a pivotalrole in nation building and in every other sphere. He declared that the yuvamorcha of BJP will continue with its mission of educating the youth andinducing patriotic values in them.
National Executive Member & Jammu East MLA AshokKhajuria and National Executive Member & Chief spokesperson Dr Jitendra Singh,State General Secretary Sat Sharma (CA),BJYM State President Munish Sharma and YudhvirSethi, Balbir Ram, were prominent among others who also paid tributes to thesemartyrs.
In a similar function jointly organized by J&K PradeshYouth Congress in collaboratin with Shaheed Bhagat Singh Foundation and J&KJatt Youth Federation at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk Jewel Jammu senior Congress leaders and locals paid rich tributes to Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh, Raj Guruand Sukh Dev.
During the function Ravinder Sharma-MLC was the ChiefGuest, K K Khajuria-Commissioner MunicipalityJammu and S R Sudhir-Noted Journalist & Writer of Jammuwere the Guest of honor.
While paying homage to martyrs, Congress Ravinder Sharmathrew light on the role played by the Bhagat Singh, Raj Guru and Sukh Dev inthe freedom struggle.
Rich floral tributes were paid to Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh, Raj Guru and Sukh Dev on their Martyrdom day, in a function at PCC headquarter Shaheedi Chowk, Jammu.
Besides paying tributes to three martyrs, the PCC leaderspaid tributes to unsung heroes who laid their lives for the freedom of thecountry.
Prominent among those who attended the function were DharamPal Sharma, S. Gurmukh Singh; Ravinder Sharma-MLC, Krishan Lal Gupta, Smt InduPawar-MLA, Smt Kanta Bhan, Ch Shah Mohammad and others.
Kathua: Vivekananda Collegeof Education Kathua organized'Trimurti Balidan Diwas' in its campus to pay tributes to three national heroeswho laid down their lives for the sake of freedom of India.
The Chief Guest of the occasion was Ms Rekha Didi, All IndiaJoint Secretary, Swami Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari. Dr Ram Lal Sharma, GianChand Pathania, Omkar Nath, Dr Sudarshan Kumar Gupta Chairman VivekanandaInstitutes, Dr Anju Sharma Principal Vivekananda College of Education sharedthe dais and paid rich floral tributes to three martyrs.
Programme started withenlightening of Traditional lamp by Chief Guest while Dr Sudarshan Kumar Gupta presentedwelcome address briefing about the three national heroes Memento and Portraitof Vivekananda were presented to the Chief Guest by Chairman of the College asa token of respect on behalf of Vivekananda family.
Prizes were alsodistributed to the winners of Quiz Competition conducted by Vivekananda KendraBranch Kathua on March 22 in connection with 'Works and Sacrifice' of Sardar BhagatSingh.
In another memorial ceremony, Member of Legislative Council(MLC) Subash Chander Gupta today paid tributes to the freedom fighters BhagatSingh, Raj Guru and Sukh Dev.
In his tribute address, the Gupta appealed thepeople to maintain peace and normalcy in the State and said that the freedomfighters wanted to see the people of the nation progressing. Others present onthe occasion were Karanjeet Singh SHO Hiranagar, Bishan Singh, Parvina Devi,Yash Pal Singh, Jughal Bali and Neetu Sharma.
Meanwhile Nature-Mankind Friendly Global Movement too organized mass conference on Global Warming/ Climate change and Global Dehumanization on the eve of martyr day of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev.
In the conference the book "Planet Earth Life in Danger "written by Babu Singh founder Nature-Mankind Friendly Global Movement also released. The conference was attended by largenumber of activists of Nature-Mankind Friendly Global Movement, socialthinkers, writers, intellectuals, youths, farmers, workers, women and people ofall walks of life from different parts of state as well as country.
Doda: All IndiaStudents Federation (AISF) Distt Council Doda observed the Martyrdom of S BhagatSingh, Shivram Rajguru and Sukhdev Thaper Govt. Degree College Doda in aspecial memorial occasion organized in Doda.
The members of the Federation paid tributes to the Martyrsand observe a two minute silence on the occasion.
On the Occasion AISF Distt Gen Secretary Koshal Sharma threwlight on the life of 'trio' who sacrifices their lives for the freedom of theCountry.
Distt President AISF Mukesh Parihar demands that this dayshould be marked as National Day and National Holiday should be granted by Govt.of India.
