| Shubhdeep adjudge best speaker in debate | | | early times report
UDHAMPUR, Mar 23:- Tehsil Information Center, Ramnagar organized a debate contest on the Topic “Rural vs Urban Life” in the premises of Government Girls Middle School, Kanala in Zone Kulwanta of Tehsil Ram-nagar. As many as 10 students of the host school participated in the contest and expressed their view over the topic and many of them stressed for living health life in pollution free environment in rural areas.
Headmaster of the Host School, Romal Singh was the chief guest on the occasion. Shubhdeep Singh adjudged first while Babli Devi and Shakshi Thakur stood 2nd and 3rd respectively in the debate contest. Besides Rakesh Sharma and Babu Ram both begged consolation prizes. While speaking on the occasion the Chief Guest appreciated the efforts of Information Department for holding such contest. He said that such type of contest would definitely provide a platform to budding students to chan-nelize their talent in right direction. He urged the department to organize such more programmes in the near future also. The Artists of information department and students of the host school also presented a scintillating cultural programme on the occasion which was highly liked by the audience. During the contest, Mr. Prithvi Singh, Mr. Sham Singh and Mrs. Prabha Kumari were acted as judges while Babli Devi conducted the proceeding of the programme. Information Department also distributed prizes and certificates among the participants of the contest. |
