| Minor, Haryana cop among 5 pilgrims dead in mishap | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Samba, Mar 23: Five persons including a nine years old boyand a Sub Inspector of Haryana Police died on spot while four others sustained injuries when the vehicle they were travelling in collided with a truck ofBorder Roads Organization here in Supwal, -Samba today. Police sources said that family members were coming fromVaishno Devi after performing 'mundan ceremony' of their 9 years old boy whenthe mishap took place.
"The Scorpio (HR 52/ 7383) in which they were traveellingback to their home from holy shrine had an head on collision with truck ofBorder Roads Organisation (BRO) onJammu-Pathankote national highway, they said further adding that five of family members died on the spot and fourothers were injured. "The injured have been shifted to hospital for treatment. Policeonly identified only one of the dead as SI Ishan Singh through his identitycard, they said and added that message has been flashed out to Haryana police regardingthe tragic incident.
