HC directive to promote petitioner as BDO | | | early times report JAMMU, Mar 23: High court judge, Justice Hasnain Massodi today directed the state to accord consideration to the petitioner's case for promotion on substantive basis as BDO in accordance with rules. The court directive came in a petition filed by Bhola Nath who claimed to have been placed as incharge BDO since May 27, 2004. Justice Massodi, after hearing the two sides, observed that in view of the short controversy involved, the petition was disposed off and directed the respondents to accord consideration to the petitioner's case for promotion on substantive basis as BDO in accordance with rules. The court ordered that respondents shall do well to convene a departmental promotion committee within four weeks from the date the copy of the order was served on them. The court said that the consideration as directed be accorded to the petitioner's case. The court also clarified that the seniority of BDO, if any, finalized, shall not pre-judice the petitioner's place in the seniority list. |
