Gujjars depict rich cultural heritage and values: Rana

Jammu Mar 24: Political Advisor to the Chief Minister Devender Singh Rana today went around the exhibition organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages at Kala Kendra, Jammu on heritage of Gujjars.
Speaking on the occasion Devender Singh Rana said “the exhibition showcases rich cultural heritage of Gujjars and reflects their historic values and its deep roots” and emphasized the need to promote this great ethnic group.
He said the exhibition gives a glimpse into the traditions and beliefs of the Gujjar community and depicts the rich cultural treasures of a community.
He also appreciated the effort of the Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art Culture and Languages for organizing such event as it would go a long way in the preservation and promotion of heritage of the Gujjar community.
Earlier Dr Javaid Rahi briefed the Political Advisor about all the exhibits including Jewellery, costumes, artifacts and objects of daily use.
