DPSS criticises DBPS for denying membership | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Mar 24: Dogra Pujari-Shashtri Sangh (DPSS) has assailed the incumbent office bearers of Dogra Brahmin Pratinidhi Sabha (DBPS) for denying them the opportunity to become members of Sabha.DPSS has alleged that many people have been denied entry in the Brahmin Sabha by present elected body, which is a matter of concern. A meeting held here today under the chairmanship of Rampal Shastri, president of Sangh expressed serious concern over the action by DBPS leaders to restrict the membership of Sabha to their favourites and have alleged that this has been done to rig the elections to be held for the new term of president and other office bearers of Sabha. “Membership forms copies are not being issued to the members of community and various organisations which take part in the election process”, Shastri said. He said that although the last date for enrolment of membership is fixed as March 31, membership form copies are not being issued to the representatives of community organizations, under one pretext or the other. The others who attending the meeting and complained of non-issue of membership copies to them despite their several approaches, included Kuldeep Shastri, Sangh vice president Samba, Hansraj Sharma Pujari from Udhampur, Shamlal Shashtri of Rajouri and Makhan Lal Sharma of Chenani.
