Prominent Gujjar leader from Kishtwar joins Congress | | | Early Times Report JAMMU , March 24 : Prominent Gujjar leader and Sarpanch from Uppar Chatroo Ghulam Mohammad Kholi join the Congress party along with his 500 supporters before the former R & B Minister and MLA Inderwal Ghulam Mohammad Saroori in a function held at tehsil Headquarter Chatroo. Kholi unsuccessfully contested 2008 Assembly Election. While welcoming Kholi in party fold, Saroori said that Kholi inclusion with in Congress party will help him to monitor the problems of the Gujjar Community very closely. He said that Congress party is committed for upliftment of downtrodden including the Gujjar community. He said that the construction of Sangpora tunnel will help the people in long way like increasing socio - economic status of the area. Saroori also conducted the tour of Chingam, Sigdi and Thakrie areas of Inderwal constituency. People also raise the demand of opening of at least one JK Branch at Thakrie area, increase road pace of construction work on roads which is going on at slow and needs to be speeded up. Saroori after giving patient hearing to the public demands assured them that he will take these issues with the concerned authorities and will try to solve these problems. Later Saroori also distributed IAYS cheques worth Rs. 6 lacs among beneficiaries.
