Kidnapped girl recovered, accused held

EARLY T IMES REPORT
JAMMU March 24: Police today recovered a girl who was abducted from her

house at Durga Nagar here last year, besides arresting the accused.
On October 8, 2011, one Sumitra Devi, wife of Avtar Krishan of Durga

Nagar, lodged a report with Chinore police post that while she had gone to

the market, her daughter Anita was kidnapped allegedly by Bablu, son of

Hoshiyar Singh of Chinore.
Taking cognizance of her complaint, police registered a case under section

366 of RPC.
During the course ofinvestigation, police developed an input about the

presence of the kidnapped girl and the kidnapper in old Janipura area.
Police then raided the house in which they were. Apart from recovering the

girl, the cops arrested the accused from there, according to police

sources.
After her medical examination, the girl was restored to her parents.
