SRTC stages protest in favor of their demands

AMMU, MAR 24:
The volunteer retired employees of the Jammu and Kashmir State Road Transport Corporation (JKSRTC) under the banner of Volunteer Retirement Employees Association today assembled at Press Club and staged a protest there. While staging protest the VRS employees were shouting the slogans in support of their demands.
When the VRS employees tried to take out the march towards the Civil Secretariat the police personnel deployed there foiled their bid.
Dev Raj Bali, president VREA alleged that the government has not been clearing their pending dues.
He demanded for the 125 slabs of COLA and pending arrears with effect from January, 1 2006, 6 th pay commission and due drawn bills including leave salary gratuity and ex-gratia grant.
Balwinder Singh, Nilam Kumari, B V Sharma, Surjit Singh and others were also present in the protest demonstration.
