| PHE Employees flay denial of benefit of SRO 149 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU MAR 24: A meeting of the executive body of the PHE Employees welfare association was held today at Jeevan Nagar Jammu under the chairmanship of Om Parkash Sharma Social Worker Anti corruption and President PHE Employees Welfare association who was denied of his due benefits under SRO 149.
During the meeting the members were informed that due benefits have been denied with the denial to implement the SRO 149 of 1973 which is legally applicable to the employees, including Om Parkash Sharma.
Om Prakash told that this problem does not belong to him only, but some hundred employees of the PHE are involved. He further said that he has submitted his first appeal under the RTI Act under which the Government Order No 227 - PW (Hyd.) of 2010 dated 08 Jun 2010 has been intentionally misinterpreted by the Accountant General's office for the reasons well known to them.
Members deliberated upon the issue of a recovery of emoluments of Om Parkash Sharma on the objection of the AG's Branch was illegal and said that hundred other employees to have also been denied the benefit of this SRO 149, which too is illegal. Members appealed to the AG's Branch to withdraw the illegally fabricated objection and release the recovered amounts without further loss of time.
