Aggrieved aspirants for ‘Jail warders’ decry delay in selection | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU MAR 24: Expressing concerns over inordinate delay over selection, the aspirants appeared for the interview for selection of warder in J&K Police Prisons Jail Police in response to advertisement in media section in the year 2005, today staged protest at Press Club Jewel, Jammu under the presidentship of Pankaj Sharma. Speaking on the occasion Pankaj Sharma said the near about 40,000 un- employed youths has appeared in said interview only 1200 candidates qualified the said interview from J&K and said it is strange to say that despite lapes of more than two years had passed the concerned has not issued the final selection list. He informed that deputation of the unemployed youths who appeared for the interview has met to the Chief Minister J&K State in Awami Dardar at Church was Srinagar on 21.09.2011 and Chief Minister has assured that the list of the selected/ eligible candidates will be issued in a shortest period of time. He disclosed that deputation of unemployed youths also had met to the Former Chief Minister Mufti Syed and president Pathers Party Balwant Singh Mankotia who had given full assurance that the mater will be taken up in the Legislative Assembly. The aggrieved candidates that with effect from 1995 no selection has taken place in the Department and the there are more than 2000 vacancies in the Department and the Department is suffering for manpower.
