| DBPS discusses celebrations of Parashuram Jayanti | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu Mar 24: Executive Committee of Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha (DBPS) Parade Jammu held its meeting under the Chairmanship of Ved Parkash Sharma President of the Sabha and discussed celebrations of Bhagwan Parashuram Jayanti which is falling on April 23/24.
According t a press statement it was unanimously adopted that traditions of performing Jagnopaveet shall be performed on 24th April 2012 in Sabha premises on the deserving Hindu boys.
“Applications are also invited from those who want to put on the sacred thread (Janau) according to vedic rites which should reach in the office on or before 15th April, the statement said. Members also resolved that a Shobha Yatra shall also be taken out in Jammu city on April 23 and those who want to bring their Jhankies may contact the Sabha Office at Parade Jammu during working hours.
