People resent poor services of BSNL, communication snapped in Sidhrah | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 25: The poor service of BSNL in J&K has led to the problems of consumers in various parts of state and after fed up with the agency which failed to redress their grievances most of consumers have opted to private companies like Airtel, Vodafone, Aircel etc. The consumers are now up in arms against the agency, which they alleged failed to look into their problems despite repeated pleas. The main problem the consumers facing in various areas of the state, is of signal and the organization has failed to look into the same, despite making repeated pleas to authorities said,Vir Ji a social activist from Sidhrah. He said in Tawi Vihar Sidhrah the problem is especially faced during the last days of every month and during last 48 hours there is no signal. Besides the internet is also not functioning and there is no one from the authroties to look into the problem. The consumers are charged huge bills every month by the organization, which has failed to provide the satisfactory services, he said, adding what will be the fate of the people in case they want to make an emergency call in case of any eventuality especially during night hours when there will be no proper networking in the area. The problem is not confined to Tawi Vihar Sidhrah but other localities also. In Bantalab, Barnai, Patoli, Purkhoo, Jagti Nagrota the people are facing this problem for years together and despite the tall claims made by the BSNL authorities to look into the problem they have failed to improve the services, said Mukesh Sharma a BJYM leader. He said fed up with the poor performance of the BSNL people are now shifting to private cell phone and internet connections. ``The consumers have not option except the shift to private cell phone companies or their mobile and internet connections'', he added. He while making a dig at BSNL authorities said it appears they are not interested in bettering the services and their claims have totally proved hollow over the years as the problem which was witnessed by the consumers over four years back still persists. So instead of being dependent on BSNL the consumers should shift to private companies for their mobile and internet connection where at least they would not have to face cheating, Sharma added. |
