NC, Cong befooling people over giving accountable dispensation: BJP | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 25: In continuation of public meetings being organized under "Jan Sammelan" programmes, a massive public meeting of ward No. 10 was held in Dewan Mandir Hall with Jammu East MLA Ashok Khajuria as the chief guest. Ashok khajuria, while addressing the gathering, asked the people to think if there exists any government and if yes what is it doing for the common people? The NC and Congress may claim of giving a transparent and accountable dispensation but in reality its totally opposite. The government which is ruling the state is a coterie of corrupt elements, each one of them making all efforts to become richer than others in the shortest time. He said that Jammu has the history of great Dogras who never compromised on principles, honourand dignity of Duggar culture but it is indeed unfortunate that the young Dogra generation is getting lured by the Kashmir-centric parties like NC and PDP. He alleged that under a well planned conspiracy, there has been attempts to change the demography of Jammu and the need of the hour is that Dogras should get united to fail such designs which if allowed to succeed will ruin our culture and disturb social fabric. He said that the people are going to get an opportunity in the coming months to teach NC, Congress and PDP a lesson and appealed that BJP candidates should be returned to the JMC with thumping majority. BJP State Secretary Yudhvir Sethi said that the present environment in the state is very dangerous as the National Conference demands pre-1953 position and clemancy to Afzal Guru while PDP wants dual currency and self rule and the Congress want kursi, the chair. He said that the motive of Congress is to remain in power and loot the public money at any cost. In such a situation when the people have resentment against these parties, the BJP has to put more efforts to ensure that the nationalist people in the state do not get demoralized and lead a honourable life. State Spokesperson Ramesh Arora (Adv.) said that BJP is a mission and our each activist has just one agenda and that is to promote patriotism, brotherhood and strengthen bonds between Jammu and Kashmir and rest of the country. While other parties always worked to weaken the state, we made supreme sacrifices to ensure that anti-national mindset is crushed. Jammu Mahanagar District president Rajesh Gupta while seeking an explanation from the government in not implementing 74th Amendment of the Indian Constitution said that such an approach of the NC-Congress coalition has made it clear that it never favoured democracy to flourish at the grassroots level. Ex-Corporator of the ward Priya Sethi briefed the gathering about developmental works undertaken during her five years tenure as corporator. She said that the blessings of the people of ward gave her strength adding that whatever was possible within limited funds available every effort was made to ensure that every area of the ward gets equal attention and treatment. Shiv Kumar Gupta, Munish Shar ma, Sakina Bano, Sub hash Chander Sethi, Chajju Ram, Gurdas Dass Sharma, Sunil dogra, Anil Masoom, Sat Sam otra, Sunny Sehgal, Ashok Gupta and Bittu Pradhan also addressed the gathering. Earlier, prominent citizens of the ward felicitated the BJP leaders. |
