| Police-public meet held at pancheri | | | Early Times Report
Udhampur, Mar 25: In order to address Police related people's problems at their door steps and to strengthen the relationship between Police and Public, A Police-Public Meet was held at Panchari by Shakeel Ahmed Beig, SSP Udhampur.
A large number of prominent citizens, including Sarpanches Panches of various Panchayats of Panchari participated in it .
During the meeting, the grievances of the general public of Panchari with regard to construction,renovation of link roads, up-gradation of Lander Police Post, shortage of SRTC vehicles, establishment of additional Ration Depots. in far flung areas etc.
SSP Udhampur gave patient hearing to local problems raised by people and assured that their genuine problems would be taken with the concerned to have such problems mitigated at an earliest . He added that all the drug peddlers dealers, Gunda elements and eve-teasers shall be dealt with iron hand.
SSP requested the participants to keep a close watch over the activities of anti-national,anti-social elements and inform the Police accordingly.
Meanwhile in order to closely monitor the functioning of Village Defence Committees (VDCs) and SPOs in far flung areas of Panchari,SSP Udhmapur held Darbar with VDC members and SPOs deployed in far flung areas of Galiote, Lander, Moungri and Damnote. SSP Udhampur advised
them to remain vigilant at all times. Despite it that millitancy has declined in the area. SSP gave patient hearing to the grievances of VDC and SPOs and some of the grievances were disposed off on the spot. |
