| Red cross society distributes relief to BPL Students | | | JAMMU | JAN 23
District Red Cross Society organized a relief distribution function at Sri Ranbir Secondary School, Parade here today.
Jammu District Branch of Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) distributed uniform cloth to 70 poor student mostly orphans form 20 different government schools of Jammu Zone. The distributed blankets to guardians of these underprivileged students. They also distributed cash prizes to master Rajinder Singh, Swarn Singh, Nanak Chand, Pushpa Devi, Santosh Kumari and Satya Devi.
Parmodh Jain, Divisional Commissioner and D.K Vaid, Director, Education who were the Chief Guest and Guest of Honor respectively. Div. Com. In his speech appreciated the gesture of Red Cross in helping those who are in distress and impressed his happiness for selecting the most deserving students. He also appealed to the members of business community to extend their helping hand to the local Red Cross for reaching to the unreached.
Dinesh Gupta, Executive secretary of the District Red Cross Society. Jammu briefed about the activities being done by the society and expressed his gratitude to all the dignities, blessed the children and boosted the morale of the organizers.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were S. Zargar, Add. DC. Jammu, P.C. Verma. Principal, Ranbir Hr. Sec. School, Jatinder Ganhok, President Rotary Club, Jammu, Jugal Mahajan, Mahesh Gupta and official of the Red Cross Society.
