Artists awarded national scholarship by Govt | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU , Mar 25 : Three young artists of Amateur Theatre Group, awarded with prestigious National Scholarship by The Ministry of Culture, Government of India a sum of Rs 60000 per annum for consecutive two years to each artist. The three artists were Rahul Kumar, Mohit Chib and Aparna Kapoor each undergoing training in theatre Acting under ATG Director Mushtaq Kak. Rahul Kumar was associated with Amateur Theatre Group since last 3 years and has been performing regularly. The major plays in which he has acted are Khamosh Adalat Jari Hai, Devi, Rishteyan da ki rakhiye naa, In Camera, Holi, Ghair zaroori log, Self stories, Sada, Oma and Dak Ghar. Recently he went to China under youth exchange programme where he got most versatile personality award from Banaras Hindu University. Mohit Chib is also associated with ATG since 6 years. His major productions are Ant Hazir ho, Mechbeth, Holi, Passport, Pind kunne juadeya, Ghair Zaroori Log, Dak Ghar, Sada and Self stories. He has also acted in a bollywood movie Sikander and a national add of Incredible India. He assisted Ifra Kak in a Theatre workshop conducted in Kot Bhalwal jail. Aparna Kapoor, the third scholarship awardee has also worked in many major productions like Ant hazir ho, Mechbeth, Jadugar, Gori Maa ke kale Bache, Ghair Zaroori Log, Birjis kadar ka kunba, Dak ghar, Sada, Oma and Self stories and has been associated with ATG since 5 years. Mushtaq Kak, Director Amateaur Theatre Group congratulated and encouraged the three budding artists and wished them good luck for their future endeavors and asked them to work according to their syllabus in their training period. ATG on the other hand is continuously working and trying to make all its artists well understood about the concept known as "Production Process". |
