| CAO Samba cancelled the fertilizer licence | | | early times report
SAMBA, Mar 25: Responding to the complaint received from 43 inhabitants including Numberdars and Panch of village Khanpur, tehsil and district Samba regarding charging of excess rates of fertilizer by one fertilizer dealer namely Jaswant Singh S/o Magar Singh R/o Khanpur, the Chief Agriculture Officer Samba A.K. Malhotra along with Subject Matter Specialist and Fertilizer Inspector visited the premises of the said dealer and found that the concerned dealer has violated all the norms/provisions of fertilizer control Order (FCO) 1985. It was established on spot that neither there was display of fertilizer rates list nor the concerned has issued any vouchers/bills to the farmers at the time of purchase of fertilizer.
Based on the complaint lodged by the inhabitants of village Khanpur & established the facts on spot quoted in the complaint, the Chief Agriculture Officer, Samba immediately cancelled the fertilizer license issued to Jaswant Singh S/o Magar Singh R/o Khanpur.
A.K. Malhotra said that it is the mandate of the department to provide quality inputs like Seeds, Fertilizer and Pesticides to the farming community, therefore he warned the other dealers of district Samba who are dealing with the sale of fertilizer, Seed & pesticides/insecticides to adhere to the norms/provisions of (FCO)1985, Seed Act 1966 and Insecticide Act 1968 in the interest of the farming community failing which action warranted under rule shall be initiated against the defaulters who will be found violating the norms of these Acts. |
