KCC scripts narrow win over Bhadrore Club | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 26: Kashmir Cricket Club (KCC) registered a narrow 8-run win over Bhadrore Cricket Club in the first of the three match cricket series at playfield Bhadrore, near here today. Winning the toss and batting first, KCC rode on a brilliant knock of 74 runs off just 55 balls, including 8 boundaries and 2 sixes by Rahul Mussa and scored a good total of 147 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Apart from Mussa, Tushar contributed 15-ball 20 runs with 2 fours, while Rahul Chaudhary and Satish Kumar chipped in with 17 runs each. For Bhadrore Club, Vishal Sharma captured 2 wickets, while Pawan claimed one. In reply, Bhadrore Club fell short of just 8 runs as they lost all their wickets in 19.3 overs for 139 runs, thus lost the match by a narrow margin. All-rounder Vishal Sharma was top scorer with 40 runs off 32 balls including 3 fours and one six, while Bhanu Pratap and Balkar contributed 28 and 25 runs to the total respectively. For Kashmir Club, left-arm spinners Kuldeep Kumar, Rohit Sharma and speedsters Rahul Mussa and Satish Kumar took 2 wickets apiece. Rahul Mussa was adjudged man of the match for his all-round performance. The match was officiated by Vijay and Sandeep as umpires, while Ravinder maintained the scorebook. |
